"Ludicrously Overpriced Wrap"

A review of Get Stuffed by Mark written on Friday 27th of May 2011

I was walking past Get Stuffed at lunchtime and decided to give it a try. The staff seemed pleasant enough and the food behind the glass looked fresh and fairly enticing. I stupidly opted for the Crispy Chicken Wrap, which was ‘New!’, and available for £2.50, according to a pretty prominent laminated advertisement. What I got was a couple of meagre, cook-from-frozen goujons in a micro-warmed tortilla with a blanket of bland salad and my choice of squeezy sauce. It was pitifully tiny and weighed about the same as a bag of Quavers. You might think all this is inoffensive, at least in a culinary sense, but I’m moved to question the motive behind actively promoting this hilariously-overpriced offering as some kind of special deal? Either: a.) They foolishly believe this lustreless pis$-take is worth promotingb.) It’s a high-margin ‘mover’ that they can chuck together for under 30p and sell for an obscene profit. I feel insulted; £2.50 isn’t much, but for this paltry portion it’s a disgrace. Pound-for-pound this is the worst-value Glasgow lunch deal I’ve ever had. I won’t be back. .
