Your punctuation needs work, but you can spell, so I don’t think you could be working for AIC.

Besides, AIC are not enforcers of anything - and you certainly are not in a Dirty Harry sequel.

Anyway, your points…

I think it’s a little bit more deep-rooted than that – successive poor government administration being mainly to blame.

But on the subject of debt, collection agencies are rarely able to substantiate their legal right to collect on such debts.

That thereby negates the obligation of the ‘people’ concerned to pay them back.

In other words, if such companies – or their clients - should do their job better, and then times may not be so tough on them.

Maybe it is someone else – identity fraud being one of several possibilities.

“or trying to weasel their way out of their unfortunate position”

Or using the law and their legal rights to make sure that such companies toe the line as they should be?

“but others suffer because of their selfish, immoral actions.“

Others being shyster collection agencies, maybe?

So do some collection agencies. Like in the case of Beryl Brazier, who was hounded to death by such companies. No instance of 'own up and man up' there, though..
