"Our venice holiday!"

As requested Laura,feedback of our experience.

The service from Barrhead Travel,as usual,second to none!

However,The Cavaletto Hotel in Venice where we stayed for a week was certainly not the 4* we expected.

NEGATIVES:

The reception and waiting staff were rude and unfriendly.

The rooms were basic with tacky furnishings.

breakfast was very basic and of poor quality.

POSITIVES:

Full marks to the friendly and very efficient housekeeping staff-the room was spotless.

Great central location

Extremely poor value for what we paid

Interestingly,neither of the two websites we noted this hotel on, stated it was a 'Best Western'????? I wouldn't have booked had I known.(down to previous experience)

Great holiday but spent less time than would have liked, in hotel due to unwelcome/unfriendly atmosphere - the bar/facilities etc seemed very underused. Location aside,would not recommend.
