"What a surprise!"

I'm not surprised the Himalaya has gone out of business - shame the staff didn't go on that customer relations course and maybe this could have been avoided. I too have lived in the area for over 20 years and remember when the Himalaya was in its heyday. It was always full with a great atmosphere. Cardonald has gone downhill since then - aesthetically and also with the choice of eateries. There isn't a decent chippie and Captain Nemo's is a disgrace. Bella Fresca has lifted the tone of the area a little although they've just about priced themselved out of the market and should get some decent staff on the counter. The girls from the Himalaya would feel at home - looking at customers like they've flown in from space.
