"Rights vs Responsibilities"

A review of Allied International Credit by AIC staffer written on Tuesday 5th of January 2010

Reading the comments below, it strikes me that anonymous CAG members are well versed in the rights accorded to individuals in financial difficulty. I don't think that anybody could reasonably argue that these rights are a good thing for people who borrow money.

However, with these rights come responsibilities that people feel that they can ignore. People who borrow money from my clients do have a legal obligation to repay these debts. Money is not given to them on the basis of repayment whenever they wish. Many of the debtors I speak with do have the ability to make reasonable repayments or even take settlements on offer. They do not wish to make adjustments to their lifestyles accordingly.

If you are in debt then I feel sorry for your plight, however if you do not make every effort to resolve these, then that is morally tantamount to theft. Trying to say that by a failure to provide a copy of the agreement for moneies forwarded in good faith is the same.

As for comments regarding my collegues and myself - many of our staff are neither "neds" or agressive to people. Some people do not like being told the hard truth of their situation and react badly. By labelling my company and staff in generalistic insulting terms shows a small minded attitude to the problems you have.
