"Hear the Pennies Dropping"

A review of Thornliebank Parish Church by Irene Masson written on Thursday 31st of July 2008

In 1941 I lived in Arden Avenue. Being a very independent two year old little girl, I insisted in walking by myself to Sunday school at Thornliebank Church. Little did I know that my father was following me a short distance behind. Sixty-seven years later in Sydney Australia, I still remember the offering bag being brought round while we sang, "Hear rhe pennies dropping. Count them one by one". I wonder what they are singing these days.

Best wishes, Irene
