"Receptionist are so rude"

My family and I moved to the are in October. I have been calling not everyweek but often to get a place in the gp for my baby my husband and I but the receptionist just says no taking any new patients and hangs up on me, doesn’t even let me talk. I feel so upset with this. why do they have to treat people like this? I am just trying to get into nhs.
