Good afternoon

Thank you for your email.

I am extremely disappointed and annoyed, at such short notice, of news of your cancellation.

I have friends arriving from distance, to attend my 60th birthday bash and now find myself at a loss to make alternative arrangements.

It would have lessened the blow, slightly if you had given me some notice to make other arrangements.

To say I am bitterly disappointed is an understatement.
