A big “thank you” to Monarch. I visited Monarch Glasgow on Tues to have a query on my Land Rover Discovery 3 examined. With an Aviation and Quality background, I have strict criteria in what I expect from a supplier and those expectations set the bar high. I expect safety, methodology, logic and meticulous attention to detail. Anything else is fluff. There are three further key factors to excelling in anything, experience, intuition and honesty. You can have all the diagnostic tools in the world, but without the feel and objective ability to correctly interpret the signs, any problem is unlikely to be completely addressed and solved.

So, I had a problem with a suspect part on the LRD3 and I had asked Monarch to look into it and advise me further as the (defective?) part was under warranty. Monarch immediately committed to looking into and resolving the problem, but its service and commitment didn’t stop there. As good as their word, the part was replaced without my even needing to ask. Many garages give vague guarantees that they then will do their upmost to squirm out of after they have had your money, not Monarch.

I was greeted with a friendly smile by Charlotte on the desk. John (the owner) said, leave it with us for a quick looksee. After that, we’ll give you a bell when its ready. As good as their word (and no fault on their part!), the part (and it was not a cheap one!) was replaced without question or blame. Yet again, I found Monarch to be as good as its word.
