That corner where you are always flooded in the rain it was a pub from what I know there is an under ground burn runs from the canal down to Kelvin bridge the kelvin One of the houses at 88 always damp one day could not get in the close as the close had caved in work men could not get in . One of my pals lived in the bottom house I told them there was a trap door in the room when we went in and lifted the door the water was only Ins. from coming up into the room .There was old wash houses under there as my aunt was brought up in that house I lived in when she was young. I went to Napiershall school and my son went for a year . We played in the air raid shelters in the middle of the street 2 of them Waddell's sausage factory most of the other side of the road

North Woodside Rd had the Seamone picture hall at Maryhill Rd man stood at corner selling papers 2 pubs 2 paper shops 2 dairy's fruit shop chip shop pawn brokers books shop It was a great place to grow up .
