"Demolished!"

A review of Elder Park Primary School by Stan Firth written on Thursday 16th of December 2010

I went past a couple of weeks ago and saw they were demolishing the entire school! I have not plucked up courage to go look again - maybe after the bad weather.

It was a very dignified old building - it seemed to me like vandalism.

I am perpetually amazed to see buildings which were built as replacements for what I considered 'modern' being replaced by even newer and uglier buildings.

They built air raid shelters in Maxwell park (linthouse) where I bit through my tongue and then built local authority housing, then knocked that down and built other homes - I think they are also gone, now!.
