"1967-1972 were u there?"

A review of Ruchill Primary School by Eleanor mckenzie written on Thursday 4th of March 2010

I was a student at Ruchill primary around 1967-1972 or there abouts. A great school, to me enormous, but after visiting it lately I was surprised at how small it really is.

Obviously my fondest memories are of my old teacher Mr Robert Park. First, he was our student teacher and then our proper teacher from primaey 4-7 (I think he knew us better than our parents) then he went on to be head teacher. I believe he left the following year (he must have missed us) after we left in primary 7.

When it was a sunny day he would take us into the playground (desks n all) to study, but he soon got fed up and would teach us how to play cricket instead, (fantastic) teachers couldn't do that nowadays.

Would love to talk to any one who was there with me, maybe even Mr Park if he's reading this..
