"Cromwell Models: Fast to take, slow to give"

This problem with Cromwell has been going on since the eighties. Mr. Brown is always very quick to take your money, cash your cheque or debit your credit card. But when it comes time to ask where your order is after months of waiting, there is no communication. Emails and letters go unanswered,phone messages are ignored. Some people give up, others try to reverse the c/c charges, others still look to legal options. Some orders never materialize at all, or are incomplete. Attempts to rectify the situation, again, go unanswered. Many modelling forums have threads regarding their poor customer service - I am surprised more people don't know all this before they order. After seeing multiple posts in public forums like Missing Lynx, Armorama or even this one, as you can see - Gordon will suddenly magically appear and explain his email server was down, you didn't receive his reply, he didn't receive yours, his family is sick, his shop was flooded, bla bla. It seems as soon as many complaints go public he suddenly knows how to use the internet again. it's gotten so bad with forum users using modelling forums to try to contact him that the subject has been banned in many a forum! I for one do not do business where the customer is treated like garbage - and I never do business with vendors that do not maintain live stock levels, or have to order your item from other distributors. And I NEVER do business with people that charge your c/c immediately - months before your order ships. He still, amazingly, has his apologists who "are perfectly happy" - they are a very lucky minority. The reason you can't find his stuff online or most stores is because no vendor wants the headache of his childish antics. And there you go. .
