Sammy Dows in Nitsdale road, may be a little bit off the beaten track, but it is one of the very best music venues in Glasgow, and showcases some of the best bands around. The intimate setting of the music lounge is ideal for seeing, and hearing the band, and, drinks prices are very fair, especially when you consider there is no entry charge!

I recently heard one of the best bands I have come accross in there. the strangely named JERUSALEM HARPOON, were just immense and well deserved their wild applause at the end of their superb set. The 6 piece band offer a great mix of sounds and even have their own mixing desk, which greatly improved the quality of the sound. They play there next friday (21st), and I will be there!

Sammys' is a great venue and well worth searching out..
