"WAITING TIME FOR CROMWELL MODELS"

A review of Cromwell Models by Onelung421 written on Tuesday 14th of April 2009

Over the past 5 or 6 years I have

purchased numerous models from Cromwell

Models, and I agree that it can be

frustrating trying to speak to them

on the phone or email. With regard

to the Cougar. I, like a lot of you,

saw the photo's on the web; and

knowing that they were going to

Trucks'n'Tracks and they would sell

all of the "Cougar" kits they took

with them. I sent them an email,

saying I wanted to purchase 1, but

would wait until after the event

including all my address and C.C.

details. I know there are sum of

you saying "No, No, No, Do not

include your C. Card details", but,

having dealt with and met them at

Trucks'n'Tracks for 5 or 6 years I

wasn't unduly perturbed. Because,

although I had to wait for 6 weeks,

it arrived well packed, nothing

missing, the only thing that did hit

me was the C.Card entry as my next

statement hit the floor, the cost,

£100.00. I went to Telford Int. Model

Show, hoping to see them, but they

weren't there. But Friendship Models

were, and, they assured me that that

was the price, as they were selling

one at the same price. The same

occurred when I bought a Ferret

Mk2/2 off them same phone and email

problem, but,once again, sent all

details and 4 to 5 weeks later,it

popped through my door. As was

stated by another possible purchaser,

it's annoying the phone and email

non answer, but they are nowhere

near as big an organisation as

Ac Armour or Verlinden But their kits

are well made, and as can be seen they

do produce different vehicles from

the others, i.e The Cougar. The

432 Bulldog, and its variants, this

model, comes complete with interior

details, and the overall detail of

the armour is incredible. But one of

the best things about this model is

the price, for the bog standard

432 from Ac Armour is £78.00,this

one is £20.00 odd cheaper. As I said

at the beginning, I, like you, have

had the same problems.

But Gordon Brown does say on 9/3/09

that he knows he has a website

problem and is sorrting it out. All

I can say is he does produce good and

a bit of patience will stop another good model producer going to the wall.
