A review of Alexandra Parade Primary School by Robert Mitchell written on Tuesday 23rd of September 2008

I went to the Parade from 1965-72. My headmaster was Mr. Drummond. Had Mss. Millar(sp?) for 2-3 years. She was a sweetheart. Had a tough old bird called Mrs. Mitchell (no relation) for a year. I went to Smithycroft for secondary until 1975 at which time I convinced my family to immigrate to Canada. The APP years still figure large in my Glasgow memories.

My mates at the time were Iain Thompson, George Brown, Steven Torbett, Brian Thomson. Lasses I remember are Rona Hill and Susan Burley. Saw a school class photo of a class in 1964 that struck me as wierdly familiar. We all had cowlicks and fat faces it seems..I almost swore it was my class picture! Good memories. If you ever decide to collect class pictures, let me know. I've got a couple..
