"High time Caledonian Travel dropped The Grand hotel in Scarborough."

When we eventually got booked in to The Grand, 45 minutes later,we found to our horror bedroom was stinking of cigarette smoke,and the shower was so small it would only have done a small child. We went to reception again but queue was worse than before, so went to bar for a drink.Tables in bar were filthy, so asked waiter to clean ours which he did, but he did`nt clean ones on either side which were worse.Lazy to say the least.

We had spoken to 2 ladies on coach down who said they were going to the Royal Hotel, I went to take a look and guy at reception there said we may be able to move as he had 2 vacant rooms but we had to get transfer done from Grand.

I must say it was done to our satisfaction and we were out of there in no time. We got lovely room in The Royal Hotel and it was night and day from the dirty and not so Grand, Grand Hotel. Caledonian driver did a good job. Thank you..
