"Two Generations"

I was born in St Francis in 1953, my brother was born there in 1955 and my wee sister was born there in 1966. I was delivered by Dr O'Reilly and my mother spoke fondly of him and sister Genevieve. I chose to have my son there in 1973 after a bad experience giving birth to my daughter in the Southern General. Sister Joseph delivered my son and the delivery and aftercare were such a caring and peaceful experience. Maternity services today could learn a lot from the St Francis approach to mothers and babies..
