"Not impressed and won't be back"

A review of Star Stitch by ABS written on Monday 3rd of August 2015

Sorry but I'm really disappointed both with the attitude and quality of service. I have been taking my alterations to Star Stich for years but after my recent experience I won't be back. I left a dress for a simple alteration to the length. After a week it wasn't ready as promised. I wasted over two hours waiting for it. The shop was so busy I never bothered to try it on, a big mistake.

On checking the dress when I got home not only was it still trailing on the floor, still far to long, the hem was also very uneven. I took it back to get the alteration done correctly, another wasted afternoon in Glasgow waiting for it. When I picked the dress I I decided to check it and the first thing I noticed was a catch in the material which definitely wasn't there before. The dress had never been worn and still had the label on it. The catch was very obvious and would have certainly been noticed, it couldn't have been missed The owner denied any responsibility and said it must have been like that when I left the dress -DEFINATELY NOT IT WAS SO OBVIOUS IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NOTICED. To be fair he did mend the catch as best as he could but I'm very upset at having spend a great deal of money on a dress which had been damaged before it has been worn. No apology. Bad attitude.

I would not make a bad review lightly because I know it can damage a business but I feel my review is fair and honest and I feel very let down..
