"No information given from one debt company to another"

Please can any one give me an answer to this question.Why do debt company's sell people's debt to other company's without giving them all the information about the people concerned.I am fed-up of after living in this house for 15 years still getting letters from company's asking to clear a debt owed by the previous house owner.I used to phone these companies up and tell them they are .NO LONGER AT THIS ADDRESS How difficult is it to pass this information on to the next company who buys the debt.KNOW ONE AFTER 15 YEARS IS GOING TO PAY A DEBT OFF.STOP SENDING ME LETTERS. .
