A small friendly bowling club almost hidden in the heart of Darnley. The club is opposite the Darnley community centre and The Darnley church. It was formed in 1984 by local residents and Glasgow City Council. The club badge proudly shows the famous Darnley sycamore tree which is believed locally to have a romantic tale linked to Mary Queen of Scots. Darnley Bowling Club members see their club as a home from home and it's small and almost informal atmosphere always delights visitors to the club. The Green Gem of Darnley is an important part of the community. .
