The penguin referred to could have been sister mary frances who was the headmistress certainly in the sixties at the time I attended the school. Whilst I have serious issues with some aspects of my time there - the number of activities - especially the school orchestra with more than 40 pupils - was terrific. I also remember a marvellous breakfast club where you could enjoy hot tea and toast following attendance at morning mass before school; must have been a lifesaver for some of the children I remember at that time..
