"The Best - Look after them!"

Clean cars, friendly drivers, cheap prices and quick response times. What everybody wants from taxis! I can't help but wonder how these guys make a living though. If Hackneys charge twice the fare, how do Hampden drivers survive? (I understand that our fares are their wages and they pay Hampden to rent their "radio"). I've increased the tip I give these guys, as they haven't put up their fares even in light of the cost of fuel these days. It has to be hurting them! Just a thought. Well done guys! :0).
