"Fantastic pub with even better home cooked food"

Myself and my family decided to visit Palacerigg Country Park, and upon leaving passed a lovely little pub called The Stables Bar and Restaurant, about half way down the hill. The staff were very pleasant catering to the fussy requested for my 5 year old, and making us feel very welcome. The menu was varied and we all found something to our liking. I decided to have the mushrooms followed by steak, black pudding and haggis. The food was out of this world, all home made and made to order and the portion sizes were more than generous. I must rate this pub 10/10 for quality of food and value for money. We will be frequenting more often thank you.
