"Cullen Skink"

A review of Cafe Source by Reid C. Allen - Friday 17th of November 2006

My daughter and I spent two weeks in Scotland this summer, including 4 days in Glasgow. We discovered Cafe Source (on the recommendation of some local folks) and liked it so much we took our evening meals there for the 4 nights we were in Glasgow. Instead of tourist spots we preferred something a little more like the locals would frequent, and we think we found it at Cafe Source. The soups (Cullen Skink) were great, and the other dishes were very pleasant too. And I learned a new word: "drappit" as in "drappit egg". The next time we get to Scotland we will be sure to go over to Glasgow again for supper at Cafe Source at St. Andrews on the Square.
