"Holy Cross 67 to 72"

A review of Holy Cross R C Primary School by Andrew Smith - Sunday 3rd of April 2011

I was at Holy Cross from 67 to 72 when I moved to St Alberts in Pollokshields - think it was opened as Holy Cross was so crowded.

Teachers I remember were Mr Travers the Head Teacher, Mrs Revie, our teacher. Mr Quigley at the Huts in Batson Street.

People in the class were Sean O'Donnell, Gerry McMonigle, Paul Montgomery, Eileen O'Neill, Grace O'Brien, Gail Williamson and loads others. I remember going to church in an old cinema - can't remember the name of the church - wasn't Holy Cross.

They were good times. My mum was also a teacher at the school and my dad taught there briefly as well before going to St Mirins in Kings Park.

Hope anyone who remembers me is well.

All the best
Andrew Smith
