"Mixed bag"

I booked a week in advance, but when we arrived the reservation wasn't on the books. Neither were the bookings for the next two parties who came through the door. A bit of a fuss was made about spare tables, but between 12.30 and 2pm only 4 tables out of 30-ish were filled. 
 
We had the lunch menu - the steak was overdone and served with McDonald's style fries and nothing else; for a £4 surcharge this is outrageous.  
 
The decor was lovely, the wine was okay (although I got the bottom of the bottle) and the service was fine...but I'd probably recommend going somewhere else.
