Today I visited the Shawpark Resource Centre for the 1st time after a referral from my doctor. A lovely nurse slowly took me through an assessment quesionaire - they advise that it takes around an hour. I was in the room with the nurse for 75 mins, and she didn't seem to mind at all that we'd gone on for longer than the hour. A team of specialists will now review my assessment and decide the best course of action for my case. I should hear from them in around two weeks, and I am feeling very positive about returning to Shawpark Resource Centre to begin the road to recovery. The waiting area has plenty of reading material and leaflets that you can take with you - I'd advise to anyone that is planning to attend, to take some stuff home to read! Well done Shawpark!
