We think this vicky one whoever she is ....must be gettin paid by the millers to come on and defend them...ohh thats right, she WIS the female steward in the place fir a while..wonder whit happened there. 
As for the entertainment......well thats another story. 
I have been to listen to the Millers both on the gay scsne and thet st8 scene where the do a lot of work.....or entertainemtn as they like to call it. 
Once went and jotted down every song May sang and every joke she told....and do you know what she did the exact same songs and jokes in order in another pub....well, if thats not called staged managed what is. 
We all know that they like to do their bit for charity, but come on their the only people i know that do work for charity, and yet you dont see anything or hear anything about them in the papares or media....why is this we wonder.? 
The pub should go back to the day when it was the candlebar, when it was run by janette L & Co. It was a good tun pub then, the entertainment was funny and likeable, but since that all changed, sadly to say the place has went down hill....... 
SANDRA....you should go and try and open ANOTHER austins type bar.....as Glasgow has really only had 3 decent bars in its time and austins was one of them....BRING BACK AUSTINS 
YES, i was a frequent visitor to the merchant on sun afternoons and the odd sat as well....was better wi the jazz club in there everyone got on wi everyone...alsa we found a better watering hole to drink where you were welcomed and entertained and godt good value for money, unfortunetely you dont get that in many pubs these days..the Merchantpride being one.
