"Quite inconsistent, but when good, very good."

Shame to hear the one review of this shop was a negative. The first time I went in, the women who was helping me was fantastic. She really understood both what I was looking for and some of the problems I struggle with in buying shoes. So she spent time offering me advice and suggestions for shoes that would work for me - as well as steering me away from brands/styles that wouldn't be good for me.  
 
However, the following week, I was telling a friend how good I had found the shop whereupon we went in to get some shoes for my friend. We found on this occasion that: (a) the women who had served me wasn't around and (b) the staff on the shop floor were quite passive and not very helpful to either of us. There might even have been a subtle level of boredom or lack of interest coming across (in our view). I was really disappointed, having said such good things about the shop to my friend.
