It does seem a bit strange about using Signature, they must be wanting to keep it in the local area. Ive also ordered my dress from susan gregory, she wouldn't take a deposit and I should have my dress in 12-16 weeks. I dont know if the goodwill gesture to sell the dresses at a discounted price will extend to those who have reorded through another stockist not just signature.
