"Bookings only"

A review of The Cricklewood Hotel by Jim MacDonald - Sunday 25th of March 2007

My last visit to the Cricklewood was a big disappointment. My wife and I walked to the bar to ask if we could have a table in the bar area for dinner and we were passed over to the manager by a member of staff. The manager told us in a very unapologetic matter of fact, take it or leave it manner that there would be no meals served to us unless we had reserved a table. We have dined at the Cricklewood on a regular basis for Sunday dinner and have never booked a table. I do realise it can be busy but on inspection of the bar area there was at least three empty table's. I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the Cricklewood on Sunday and would urge people who intend to visit to book as this will save disappointment and being treated in a manner that is totally unacceptable.
