Miss Hart was our Infant Teacher, then we had a Miss Lindsay, Miss Henderson, Mrs Scott and Miss Macfarlane. We had shipments of Canadian Red Mackintosh apples sent over on two accasions, and our class was given the chance to go to Castle Toward for a month's residential stay.

Pollok was built during this time and many pupils joined our class who had lived in Govan before being rehoused.

School milk was delivered in crates and the bottles had cardboard tops with a circle which you pressed out to put in a straw. There was no refriderators then, it was either warm milk on in the winter frozen milk.

My nephew who is in Australia sent an e-mail saying school photos were available. If anyone has one of my class I would be grateful to see it.

Christine Lander.
