Cameras all waiting, journalists all poised to catch something that would go wrong on the first day, any opportunity to jump on something good and rubbish it is hailed as good journalism!

What is needed is a breath of fresh air, 10 tonnes of it. That is the amount of air that flows through the Terminal 5 building every minute. There are also 75000 light fittings with control systems to ensure energy efficiency and sub-surface drainage enough to go from the earth to the moon. All of which worked without a hitch on the first day and has been ever since.

Where do DSSR come in? DSSR engineering design consultants were at the heart of the building services design that make the building habitable.
