"118 Boys Brigade - late 1940's/50's"

A review of Kings Park Parish Church by Fraser Barclay - Tuesday 27th of February 2007

I am writing from South Australia and attended your
church on a regular basis during the above period.
I was in the BB and was a piper in the Pipe Band
which visited Norway in the late forties. I can
thank the Boys' Brigade for the training and discipline I received, standing me in good stead when
I was conscripted into the Scots Guards as a Guardsman in 1955. I wonder if anyone "out there"
can remember me. The minister at the time I attended
the church was Reverend Patterson. I was also in the
Life Boys with Captain Scott. I have many happy
memories of these boyhood years largely due to my
association with King's Park Parish Church.
Sincerely
Fraser Barclay
formerly of Crofthill Rd., Croftfoot.
