"An independent pub!!!"

A review of The Merchant Pride by Ped - Sunday 6th of July 2008

To all hose moaning about the Merchant Pride, from a regular.

I've been going to the Merchant Pride as a regular and for a short time was a member of staff and have thoroughly enjoyed it, John (the owner) is a really nice guy who has a great team behind the bar (friendly & chatty) and is running one of the very few independent of the King dynasty gay bars left in Glasgow.

I came out in 1987, yes I'm old but then we had double the amount of bar's and choice we have now, you should be supporting your scene in Glasgow not running it down in favour of cheap drink and little or no entertainment. Spend a little more and help the independent bar's (all of them) offer that bit more!!

Ped!!!
