A review of Monarch Garage by Stuarty - Thursday 22nd of November 2007Through word of mouth I found this inde[pedant garage in the East-End of Glasgow, not far from Shawfield Stadium. I had a recurring problem with my Land-Rover Discovery which several other "specialists" had failed to either diagnose or be able to fix before a friend of a friend directed me to Monarch Garage. I turned up un-announced and was immediatly engaged in conversation with the owner, John Taylor, a man whose passion for anything Land Rover is obvious. From start to finish he was on the ball, calling me at regular intervals to give me a status report and commencing no work until I had been appraised of cost and the reason for the repairs. The fault was found, repaired and I was back on the road in 3 days. I held my breath for a week as in the past the problem had come back. 8 weeks on I have had not one problem and this morning planto book my car back into Monarch garage next week for its service and MOT.
