A review of Perfect Glazing (Scotland) Ltd by Older_Wiser written on Friday 6th of January 2017
It was the first time I'd had an estimate to upgrade old windows. As arranged the Rep visited, leaving a quote which was also emailed. However there were no details in the formal quote, only to install double glazing 'as discussed'. I could not remember all the details, but because the price seemed possible, I was willing to consider their offer (after further negotiations) and after having two quotes from different suppliers.
It was on the second and third phone calls that the Rep's tone changed, particularly when he asked if I'd had other quotes. When I said that I wished him to visit again in order that I could know more precisely what work was planned, and that the company 'was in the running' that he became dismissive and hostile. At one point in that discussion he asked if he were to come over tonight would I sign a contract to which I replied that I would take it under consideration but did not like to feel pressured. His tone became yet more assertive implying that I was time wasting (I was not, I had felt that depending upon discussion I'd give them the contract). It was arranged for an evening visit that day.
Within ten minutes he rang back to abruptly tell me that they 'didn't want to get involved', and were 'walking away from it', to which I replied, 'That's fine with me, good bye'. There was obviously nothing further to discuss.
Given that I was on the verge of spending nearly £5000 I was shocked to be treated so contemptuously a potential customer. I have no regrets for not continuing, for anyone who acts this way to clients is representing the company, so on that basis I feel it would have been a bad mistake to go with them under any circumstances..
