"Bygone Era 67 Batson Street"

I passed the old decaying school a few months ago. Brought a tear to my eye. Attended Victoria in the late 1960's before moving on to Queens Park secondary. Names that are familiar amongst the girls were: Kelman, Macdonald family from Carfin St, Ellis, Stevenson, McQueen, and the Donaldson twins. I lived nearby in Jamieson Street and I was Elaine Miller in those days. The whole area has changed considerably. I hope the school can be preserved as it's part of Govanhill's heritage..
