"Patronising staff"

A review of Bag & Baggage by Savvy shopper written on Thursday 26th of September 2013

On a recent visit to the shop, whilst the goods and prices were excellent, the same cannot be said for the two mature sales assistants. As another customer was being served with a bag which had a reduced sticker price on it, but was told this was a mistake, one of the sales assistants said that the shop was privately owned; they did not have to sell the bag to her; nor did they have to sell to anyone; private owner so they could do what they liked. (Not sure who "they" were). Remarks seem to me to be rude and patronising, from sales assistants who were mature enough to know better..
