"Great food in a great bar!"

A review of Gazelle by Paul Medd - Monday 27th of November 2006

Went midweek on a recommendation. Food was excellent, with a nice varied menu, with a mixture of everything from good pub grub/comfort food to some mouthwatering daily specials (scallops with blackpudding @ 8.95 for 4 large scallops). Apparently their seafood is from maccallums of troon, and the quality was there to be seen. 
The bar had a great laid back vibe, and a nice mix of young professionals (suits)and trendy students. 
Service was great, and you could tell the owner was working (lovely guy!)as everything was attentive enough for a bar setting without being intrusive. 
I would definitely recommend gazelle as a great night out, whether dining or not.
