New Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet classes for age 6+ the Royal Academy of Dance is one of the world’s most influential dance education and training organisations and is recognised internationally for the highest standards of teaching and learning. Students will be taught by a qualified rad teacher in professional dance spaces and accompanied by a pianist. Based in Renfrew Street, Glasgow, Royal Conservatoire Of Scotland is a dance school.
Classes will focus on dance technique and performance skills, working towards optional examination and presentation awards. Throughout the course, students will increase in confidence, creativity and social skills. These classes provide an opportunity to study ballet through recreational and vocational routes. They are suitable for students who want to develop their dance technique and skills further, or are new to dance and looking for a fun way to get fit.
Classes will be held in the Royal Conservatoire’s Speirs Locks Studios.
Tuesdays
4 – 5pm: Grade 1 (8 – 9 years)
5 – 6pm: Grade 3 (10 – 11 years)
6 – 7.15pm: Intermediate Foundation (age 11+)*
Thursdays
4 – 4.45pm: Primary (6 – 7 years)
4.45 – 5.45pm: Grade 2 (9 – 10 years)
5.45 – 7pm: Intermediate (age 12+)*
* the intermediate foundation and intermediate classes prepare students for optional vocational level examinations.
RAD classes term dates:
term 1: 21/23 August - 9/11 October 2012
term 2: 23/25 October - 18/20 December 2012
term 3: 8/10 January - 19/21 March 2013
term 4: 16/18 April - 18/20 June 2013.
